How we got started in Bulldogs

Thank you for taking a few minutes to look at our website.

With tremendous pride we put our children forward for everyone to view. We started Topper Bulldogs back in 1997 with our first bully. We waited patiently for over eight months, reading, watching, researching, asking a zillion questions all to find just the right one. While we never did get her finished , we sure learned a lot and had enough fun showing her to last three lifetimes! That was just the beginning for us. Just the beginning of what would become our passion and purpose. We’ve cried many times, laughed a little more and bled just enough to truly appreciate where we started and how far we’ve gone since that first pup, show and litter!

We take great study and care to better our line with every breeding. Health, temperament and then conformation prioritize our philosophy and code as individuals and custodians for the next generation to follow. Learning how each of those elements plays a role in breeding choices and decisions and how those decisions have such incredible impact 2, 3, 4 or even more generations later remains as our focus as we select from our pups what will become the future of our line. We’ve learned with a keen eye, an open mind and steadfast dedication you can amass quite an arsenal to handle any ‘mystery’ our beloved friends might present! While we don’t know it all we happily share any thought or idea or insight with anyone – for the betterment of the breed. We are always available.

It’s short and sweet but it is us. We are all about healthy, good natured and structurally sound bulldogs. We don’t breed a lot but we like to make it count! We owe a great deal to the phenomenal friends we’ve made over the years, incredible families that raise and love our companions, and all the other custodians of our beloved bulldog breed. They each hold a special place in our hearts. We also would like to sincerely thank Nelia for putting this site together. She has done an incredible job designing, building and managing our space and we deeply appreciate her commitment then, now and in the future.

Thanks again for stopping by and letting our Bullies strut their stuff!
